Meet Neeri Batra

Hey, I am Neeri Batra. A psychotherapist with an empathetic heart and a mug of coffee by my side ☕.

Over the years, I've learned that no two stories are ever the same. Each person brings their own experiences, strengths, and struggles, and I believe therapy should honour that individuality.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, struggling in your relationships, or simply looking for a space to understand yourself better, I'm here to walk alongside you.

I hold a Master's degree in Psychology and have trained in evidence-based and integrative therapeutic approaches. For me, everyone experiences life differently, which is why I don't believe therapy should follow a single formula.

Instead, I adapt my approach to fit your unique experiences, strengths, challenges, and goals.

My priority is to create a space where you can show up just as you are—without the pressure to have everything figured out. A space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted, even when you're finding it difficult to put your feelings into words.

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, and taking that first step isn't always easy. If you've found your way here, I'm truly glad.

Together, we'll make sense of what's been weighing on you and move towards a life that feels more connected, meaningful, and aligned with who you are—at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Frequently asked questions

Beginning Therapy

Q: What can I expect during my first session?

A: Your first session is all about getting to know each other. We’ll spend time understanding what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, your personal history, and what you hope to gain from the process.

There’s no right or wrong way to begin therapy, and you don’t need to prepare anything in advance. You’re welcome to come exactly as you are. My role is to create a safe, comfortable space where we can explore your concerns together.

Q: How long is each therapy session?

A: Each session lasts 50 minutes. This allows us enough time to explore what’s important while ensuring consistency and structure in the therapeutic process.

Q: How often should I attend therapy?

The frequency of sessions depends on your goals and the concerns you’re bringing to therapy. Many clients begin with weekly sessions and gradually move to fortnightly or monthly sessions as they progress. We’ll decide together what feels most appropriate for you.

Q: Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a fundamental part of therapy.

Everything you share during our sessions remains private and confidential. Information will only be disclosed with your informed consent or when required by law, such as situations involving immediate risk of harm to yourself or someone else.

If confidentiality ever needs to be discussed, I’ll always do my best to have that conversation with you first.

Q: Do I need to have a diagnosis to start therapy?

A: Not at all. You don’t need a diagnosis or a specific reason to seek therapy. You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, navigating a life transition, experiencing relationship difficulties, or simply wanting to understand yourself better. Therapy is a space for both healing and personal growth.

Q: Will you prescribe medication?

A: No. As a Counselling Psychologist, I do not prescribe medication.

If I believe medication or a psychiatric consultation may be beneficial, I’ll discuss it with you and, if you’d like, help you connect with an appropriate psychiatrist while continuing to support you through therapy.

 Booking & Sessions

Q: How do I book an appointment?

A: You can book a session by completing the enquiry form on my website or by reaching out via WhatsApp or email. Once I receive your enquiry, I’ll get in touch to discuss availability and schedule your first session.

Q: Do you offer online or in-person sessions?

A: Yes. I offer both online and in-person therapy sessions.

Online sessions are conducted through a secure video platform, while in-person sessions are available by appointment at my practice in Paschim Vihar.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice.

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may be charged the full session fee, except in exceptional circumstances.

(I can adjust this to your actual policy if you prefer 48 hours.)

Fees & Payment

Q: What are your therapy fees?

A: Session fees vary depending on the type of service. Current fees are shared during the booking process, and you’re welcome to ask any questions before scheduling your appointment.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: Payments can be made via UPI, bank transfer, Google Pay. For international clients, payment options can be discussed during the booking process.

Q: Do you offer reduced-fee sessions?

A: I reserve a limited number of reduced-fee appointments for individuals facing financial constraints. If cost is a concern, please feel free to mention it when reaching out, and we can explore available options together.
